What is FieldHawk?

FieldHawk is a rugged wireless Bluetooth radio system built specifically for surveying total stations and data collectors.

With FieldHawk you can:

• Add Bluetooth to a Total Station
  With the FieldHawk Single kit you can finally stop connecting to your instrument with a cable. With FieldHawk you can add Bluetooth to your old equipment and save thousands! Don't be fooled into thinking you need to buy new equipment to enjoy Bluetooth wireless connectivity!
• Replace old Robotic Radio Systems
  With the FieldHawk Dual kit you can finally replace those old robotic radios that you've been lugging around. Get a modern radio system for your robot with long range capabilities of over 1200' (365m).
• Remote Control for Non-Robotic Instruments
  With a FieldHawk Dual kit you can remotely control your non-robotic instrument from the pole. Put the more experienced surveyor on the pole with the data collector and let the less experienced person operate the instrument.
• Bypass Proprietary Robotic Radio Systems
  Use the FieldHawk Dual kit to connect your existing data collector to instruments that have proprietary or built in radio systems.
• Connect RS-232 Devices
  FieldHawk can wirelessly connect RS-232 devices using standard DB9 serial ports.
• Support for most Total Stations and Instruments
  FieldHawk supports all popular brands of Total Stations including Trimble, Topcon, Sokkia, Leica, Nikon, Pentax, and more.

FieldHawk has been carefully designed to meet the following criteria:

• Performance
  FieldHawk uses a high powered Bluetooth module for superior performance and speed. Using Adaptive Frequency-Hopping technology, FieldHawk ensures reliable wireless connections all the time.
• Power
  FieldHawk is powered using an internal 2400 MHa Li-Ion battery. Under normal conditions, you can expect 30 - 40 hours of continuous use between charges. However, if you run out of power, FieldHawk includes an external 9V battery compartment so you can complete your job.
• Durable
  FieldHawk is the only Bluetooth radio system to include a protective soft enclosure. This protects your investment from the elements such as rain or dust and will even protect it from the occasional drop.  Also, our FieldHawk radios are designed with internal antennas which prevent them from getting snagged or broken.
• Affordable
  Competitively priced, FieldHawk is less expensive compared to similar offerings by instrument manufactures.
• Compatible
  FieldHawk is compatible with most instruments and data collectors, including Leica, Topcon, Trimble, Sokkia, Nikon, Pentax, MicroSurvey FieldGenius, Carlson SurvCE, TDS Survey Pro and more.
