Our radios don't include a low battery warning light.  However, you can gauge battery consumption by the hours of use since the last full charge.  The batteries we use in the FieldHawk radio kit are Li-Ion batteries which mean they can be charged at anytime with no memory effect.  At normal temperatures (above 40°F) you can expect 20 - 30 hours of use, but in colder temperatures you can see this time decrease by as much as 20 to 30 percent.  For most customers charging once a week is all that is needed.

The FieldHawk radio has a built in power cut off when the battery voltage reaches a critical low level so it is impossible to damage the batteries.  Always remember that you can easily insert a 9V battery into the kit and continue working if you need too.  Charge time will vary, but on average will take 1.5 to 2 hours to fully charge.
