The FieldHawk is an effective, low-cost solution to my high-cost problem.  I wanted to use FieldGenius software with my Leica 1100 series instrument.  To purchase new radios for that interface would have been thousands of dollars from the dealer, using external batteries & too many cables.  So, I was looking for a simple solution when Sandy Blancher from Microsurvey suggested the FieldHawk.  Wow!  I have been as far as 900 feet in trees with no communication problems.  They work for many hours (days) on a single charge.  The 9-volt back-up is a plus.  It is lightweight too.  Thanks for making my life much easier, at an affordable price.
