The following information is a guide to help you connect your data collector to the FieldHawk Dual-Wireless rover radio using a Bluetooth connection.
- Fully charge the FieldHawk radios before using it for the first time. Please see the FieldHawk Charging tutorial for more information.
- Make sure your instrument baud rate matches the baud rate set for the FieldHawk radio. The default setting for FieldHawk is 9600-8-N-1 but might be different depending on the equipment they are being connected to.
- Connect your instrument cable to the FieldHawk base radio.
- Mount the rover radios on your prism pole, and turn both radios on.
- Using your data collector's Bluetooth manager, scan for the FieldHawk radio. We program the radios with a passkey of "0000" (four zeros) and you must enter this passkey when prompted to do so. The FieldHawk radio will show up as FieldHawk - [Serial Number].
