The FieldHawk Dual and FieldHawk Single kits can have their firmware upgraded via a desktop software program.  

You should only do this if you've been instructed to do so by your dealer or directly from FieldHawk Radio staff. 

Only the FieldHawk Single and FieldHawk Dual radios can be configured using the following software.  The FieldHawk Dual-Wireless can only be updated by sending your radio back to the manufacturer.

Installing Updater Software

1. Download the Parani-SD Configuration Utility to your computer.
2. After the file is downloaded, run the install on your computer.
3. Follow the install instructions and finish the install.
4. At the end of the install you will be asked if you want to run the program. Leave this unchecked and press finish.
5. You can now connect your FieldHawk radio to your computer's com port and start the configuration process.

Applying Firmware Update (FieldHawk Dual)

1. Download the following 1.1.4 firmware image and save it to your computer in a location you can find easily such as your desktop.
2. On your computer go to Start | Programs | Sena | Parani-SD | Parani Updater
3. This will open the Parani Updater program.  Choose the COM port that the FieldHawk radio is connected to and the baud rate you radio is configured for.
4. Choose the image file to apply using the "..." button. Make sure the image file matches the FieldHawk system you use. 
5. After choosing the image to load, press Start.  Make sure the radio is turned on before continuing, and also make sure the other radio is turned off.
6. The image copy should take about twenty seconds.  You will see a message notifying you that the update is done.
7. Turn off this radio and connect the second radio.
8. Repeat steps 2 to 7.
9. Test the radios by turning both of them on, they should connect to each other withing seconds.

Applying Firmware Update (FieldHawk Single)

1. Download the following 1.1.4 firmware image and save it to your computer in a location you can find easily such as you desktop.
2. On your computer go to Start | Programs | Sena | Parani-SD | Parani Updater

7. Turn off this radio and back on again.  Test the radio to make sure you can still connect to your instrument with it.
